More than 20 students from both law schools took part in the 2nd edition of the Stamford Law Moot. This year's problem involved the making of submissions to the Securities Industry Council regarding a takeover similar to the recent F&N and SC Global deals. Participants represented either the target company or the competing bidders in persuading whether the Council on whether it should intervene and the desired method of intervention. The finals was judged by Stamford directors Lee Suet Fern, Tan Chuan Thye, and Lean Min-Tze. Jasper Wong from SMU took the top prize and won Best Memorial as well.
