For the 12th edition of the Red Cross IHL Moot, SMU and NUS once again teamed up to send a joint team. NUS assumed coaching duties this year, with Ms Megan Chia and Ms Emily Choo taking the reins. SMU's representatives were Sui Yi Siong and Hilda Foo, while NUS's representative was Chia Yaru. Following a series of national rounds, the top 24 converged in Hong Kong for the international rounds. Our joint team defeated University of Hong Kong, KDU University College, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Law before bowing out to eventual champions University of Adelaide in the semi-final. This was the third time in four years that our joint team made the semi-final, but this was our best performance yet as Yi Siong and Yaru came in first and second respectively for the Best Oralist award; the team was also ranked third for Best Defendant Memorial.
